What is nature?

Nature is not our opposite; we are far from being an object either; because, perhaps, a stone can be our object; even a dog can be our object, and even a tree can be considered a useful object that gives us shade. However, these objects not only protect us, they also accompany us.
We do not stop talking about nature; We read news about him at any moment and share news. We converge the destruction of nature with the destruction of man at the same time. The common point and feeling from the simplest citizen to the educated citizen is that they are getting close to each other about the destruction of nature. You don’t even need to be a student to understand and see this today! He talks about the same subject, from those who live in villages to those who drive in cities and those who work for hours and days in traffic jams. And, complaints are knee-deep!

With the deterioration of the air, food and transportation quality of the cities we live in, we are breathing bad air, we are late everywhere and we are aware that we have started to eat bad food. We see that the lack of orchards and vineyards within the borders of Istanbul, and the freshness problem of the products transported from far away, decrease the food quality. With the “concretization” under the name of “Urban Transformation”, human living spaces began to belong neither to nature nor to culture; a state of idle apathy settled in the cities and reduced the quality of life of people in these places. Political debates on the dangers of changing nature’s land show us that nature’s dominance is thought only in monetary terms.

As far as we know, nature does not have a base that starts one day and may end one day
Nature does not have an eternal state;

Do you know the beginning? Geology and natural history give us information on this; did we forget Maybe? But as far as we can learn that it is not eternal, there is no possibility of being eternal as well! With history means one day ending! Facing this bitter truth is like knowing that man is mortal. Children have no death information; They don’t know about birth either, and that’s why a “stork story” is always around in societies. Today, there is a lot of talk about the destruction of nature. Even the children began to hear this; when they got a little older they started a “climate strike”! When they reach the age when they realize death (thinking with today’s child mind and now consciousness), perhaps, They began to realize that nature would also be destroyed and that life was under threat. How far? We know that nature is a pillar that begins one day and may end one day. In my opinion, it is necessary to look at the idea of a basis: It means a basis; means providing support to us; It means that we step on and sustain us, give life, nourish, quench our thirst. So, man and nature are not two opposite objects standing against each other; it does not contain a relationship in the form of a dialectical opposition of friend and foe. Rather, they mean together. I would like to underline that we are talking about a relationship that is not an opposition, but a reciprocal gift relationship.
Not our anti-nature; we are far from being an object either; because, perhaps, a stone can be our object; even a dog can be our object, and even a tree can be considered a useful object that gives us shade. But these objects not only protect us, they also accompany us. In this sense, while these things, as elements of nature, contain the possibility of being seen as objects, they also undertake the task of supporting. You can drink water from the rivers and their springs and clean with it. Trees can feed us apart from giving shade. Mother earth not only gives us products, but also gives us energy when we walk on it. It carries us; We are just like a child in a mother’s womb, in the middle of nature. We lean on him; With its support, we put our feet on the ground, or some animals crawl, some swim, some meet with nature according to the environments they breathe. Nature is not our object, it is actually our support. Sometimes it gives to us, sometimes it takes from us. Gift relations between reciprocal species are linked to one another. The benevolent nature sometimes takes something from us (and sometimes our soul): sometimes it explodes, sometimes it burns, sometimes it protects. As a living species, we live with these relationships and integrate with the soil, at the end of life, just like the others.
