At this stage, the slicing blades are constantly sprayed with water, ensuring the cleaning of the blades and preventing the chips from sticking to each other. Afterwards, the chips are left in clean cold water for 1 minute and washed.

After the washing process, the sliced ​​potatoes are transported to the frying unit with the help of strainer belts. Meanwhile, air is blown onto the belts with pressure blower systems to dry the slices. The potato slices advancing to the frying unit are adjusted to stay in the frying unit for 3 minutes and proceed continuously in hot oil at 190°C. With the help of this electronic camera system, unsuitable potatoes (raw, burnt, deformed, etc.) are removed from the production line with air blown systems. In this camera system, computers decide instantly by looking at the shape and color of the chips, and separate the unsuitable chips from the system by blowing compressed air through a thin pipe. This process takes place so quickly that sometimes it is not possible to notice the event with the naked eye.

After the chips production is finished, the chips coming to the packaging unit are packed in the packaging line with packaging machines that weigh according to certain weights. In these machines, when the amount of chips in the packaging compartment reaches a certain weight, the cover under the compartment opens and the chips fall into the package hanging below. In the meantime, nitrogen gas is injected into the package with an air blowing system and the package is closed with the heat sealing method.

The reason for adding nitrogen gas into the package is to prevent the chips from becoming rancid by oxidation. One of the reasons why most of the packages of potato chips are filled with gas is that it prevents the chips from breaking and breaking during transportation.
